Hi, I’m Job Verhaak, a software developer focused on solving real-world problems for businesses. I enjoy building solutions that bring automation and efficiency. whether that’s through dashboards, applications, or full systems in any environment.
My journey into programming started back in 2018 when I realized how much of our world was becoming digital. Coming from a chemistry background, I first used Python to handle data processing challenges in the lab. After graduating, I found myself building tools to make daily work more efficient and digital. One example was a mini LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) I built from scratch, it sent results automatically and generated digital worklists, eliminating the need for paper printouts.
Since then, I’ve moved into manufacturing, where I’ve worked on automating processes, developing dashboards, and taking responsibility for the MES (Manufacturing Execution System). What I enjoy most is tackling complex problems, learning fast, and adapting my solutions to fit each unique business challenge.
Outside of work, I still spend a lot of time coding usually on games, experimenting with hardware like the Raspberry Pi, or learning anything new. For me, coding isn’t just work; it’s also a hobby and a way to explore new ideas. This is also the reason I started Hook Programs, to spend more time making software.
